Run a live session

Put several polls behind one join code, move through them with the keyboard or a phone, and keep the whole room on the same screen.

A session is a running order for a talk, a training or an all-hands: a rating, a ranking, a Q&A and any other polls, shown one at a time. The room joins once, with one code, and follows you.

Build the session

  1. Open Polls and choose New session. Give it a name people in your team will recognise.
  2. Choose Add a poll to create a poll of any kind in the session, or pick an existing poll that isn't in another session. Up to 30 polls fit in one session.
  3. Put the polls in the order you'll show them with the arrow buttons. Remove a poll to give it a join code of its own again.

Present it

Choose Present for the full-screen view: the question in large type, the results, and a join banner with the code and a QR code. Choose Start to show the first poll. People who join later land on whichever poll is on screen, and phones change over without reloading.

  • Next poll: Right arrow, Space or Page Down (most presentation clickers send Page Down).
  • Previous poll: Left arrow or Page Up.
  • R shows or hides the results of the poll on screen, on the big screen and on phones. A poll can keep its results hidden until you reveal them.
  • O opens or closes voting. Showing a poll that hasn't started opens it for you.
  • J shows or hides the join banner, and F switches to full screen.

Use a phone as the remote

Choose Remote, on the session page or in the presenter view, and open the link on your phone signed in to wrkflow. It has large Previous and Next buttons, reveal results, open and close voting, and the running order to jump to any poll. The big screen and every audience phone follow.

Moderate while you present

Keep the current poll's page open in another window. Held answers and questions wait there for you to approve, and you can highlight the question you're about to answer. Sessions use the same blocked words, masking and approval settings as single polls.

Deleting a session removes its join code only. Its polls and their answers stay, each with its own join code. Sessions and every poll kind are on all plans.
