Work with pixl

Ask pixl about your workspace, have it write or change a survey, build a dashboard, translate, and read what people wrote, with what it can see under your admin’s control.

pixl is wrkflow’s assistant. It knows where you are in the app and what you can see, so you can ask in your own words and it looks things up or does the work for you.

Talk to pixl

  1. Choose Chat with pixl in the top bar, or press ⌘J (Ctrl+J on Windows) anywhere, even while typing.
  2. Ask a question or tell pixl what to do. The panel suggests a few questions that fit the page you are on.
  3. pixl answers in a sentence and shows what it found under its answer: surveys, figures, themes or a help article. When it makes something, such as a survey or a dashboard, it opens it for you.

The conversation stays in your browser tab while you move around the app. New conversation starts again. wrkflow does not keep conversations on its servers.

What pixl can do

  • Find and count things: which surveys are live, which has the most responses, what you made last month.
  • Write a new survey from a sentence. It is saved as a draft and opens in the builder for you to read before publishing.
  • Change a survey: in the builder, choose Edit with pixl in the dock, or ask in the chat. Make it shorter, add a question, make the wording neutral. The change is one step you can undo.
  • Build a dashboard: on Dashboards choose New dashboard, then Describe it, or ask in the chat. pixl picks the widgets from the survey’s questions.
  • Translate a survey into other languages, through automatic translation that you review before respondents see it.
  • Explain how something works, pointing you to the right help article, such as anonymous surveys.
  • Read results, when your admin allows it: what stands out in a survey, and the themes in what people wrote (Summarize with pixl on a written-answer question).

What pixl sees

  • What you type, and what you can already see in the app: names of surveys and dashboards, statuses, counts and the wording of questions. pixl can only do what your role allows.
  • Never contacts, attributes, hidden fields or anyone’s identity, and never the wording or answers of a question marked sensitive.
  • Results only when an admin turns on Let pixl read results in Settings, General. Then pixl reads figures that already follow the anonymity rules and written answers with personal data masked. In an anonymous survey it reads nothing until enough people have answered.
  • Quotes pixl shows are always real answers, masked, never words it made up.
An admin can switch pixl off for the whole organization in Settings, General. Then new surveys are built from tested questions and search matches names only. The service that runs pixl’s model is listed on the security page when it is set up.
